Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster (2007-) Review

Category: Convertibles 4 out of 5

Summary of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster (2007-)

Price Range: £85,000 to £96,000

Assets

Looks, handling, sensational soundtrack, badge, usability, compact dimensions.

Drawbacks

Relative lack of performance, price.

Verdict

Our favourite Aston in the range, almost worth the money over a Jag XKR.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Review

Running Costs3.5 out of 5

If you're expecting this smaller Aston Martin to boast equally reduced running costs, look away now.

A figure of 18.8mpg in anyone's language isn't good; neither will the 358g/km CO2 emissions win favour with anyone foolish enough to consider running the V8 as a company car.

The one upside is that Roadster's predicted ability to retain its resale value: however, in a time of economic instability even that's not guaranteed.
