Aston Martin V8 Vantage Review

Comfort and Equipment2.5 out of 5

If you can live with its strictly two-seat interior, the Vantage should prove an easy thing to live with. Its ride quality is surprisingly good, despite its stiff springs and short wheelbase, and offers more passenger comfort than its arch rival, the Porsche 911 Carrera S.

Theres good luggage space behind the seats while the rear hatch reveals a surprisingly commodious boot thats more than big enough to take a fortnights holiday luggage.

Equipment levels, however, are pretty miserly. For all but £80,000, you might expect a full leather interior, sat-nav, cruise and parking control to be standard but, in fact, all are extras. Leather and navigations are absolute essentials in this market and by the time youve chosen a few other goodies the list contains items such as red brake calipers, bum warmers, tyre pressure sensors and a first aid kit many owners will find themselves writing a cheque for nearer £90,000 for their Vantage.
