Assets

Shoehorning the V12 into the Vantage has created a superb driving machine, but's not cheap to run.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

The days when Aston Martin unreliability was considered part of the 'charm' of the privilege of ownership are long gone.

From the work of art that is the engine installation to the beautifully finished cabin, the V12 Vantage feels solidly put together.

Hand-built in Aston's state-of-the-art Gaydon factory since 2004, the 'ordinary' V8 Vantage is constructed to a high quality and there's no reason to doubt that the new V12 should be any different.

Traditionalists will be reassured by the fact that it is only available with a six-speed manual gearbox, with no, more complex, paddle-shift transmission on offer.
