Aston Martin DBS (2007-) Review

Category: Exotic Sports 4 out of 5

Summary of the Aston Martin DBS (2007-)

Price Range: £166,872 to £175,681

Assets

Sounds magnificent, goes like it sounds, corners with verve, looks menacing, beautifully made.

Drawbacks

Feels big, handling too floaty or ride too rigid with no half-measures.

Verdict

Britain's answer to the Ferrari 599.

Aston Martin DBS Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

There are two front and two side airbags, the front ones having a two-stage operation according to the impact severity. Also helping its crashworthiness is the three-stage collapse of the front chassis rails, the first two sections being relatively easy to replace. If the impact is big enough to crumple the structure beyond the third part of the rail, behind the front wheels, then it was hardly going to be survivable anyway. The structure itself is extremely rigid.

There's an alarm and immobiliser fitted as standard.
