Category: Exotic Sports 5 out of 5

Summary of the Aston Martin DB9 (2004-2008)

Price Range: £116,908 to £125,717

Assets

Fabulous looks, landmark cabin design and quality, great sound, potent performance, precise and interactive handling, inspired paddleshift transmission.

Drawbacks

Awkward ignition switch, on the thirsty side.

Verdict

A true rival to a Ferrari or a Porsche.

Aston Martin DB9 Review

Running Costs3 out of 5

No Aston Martin is going to be cheap to run, but an official combined-cycle fuel consumption of 17.1mpg is acceptable given the pace on offer. Insurance will naturally be expensive, but servicing (every 10,000 miles) should not be too onerous given the large number of self-diagnosing electrical systems on board. Depreciation should be minimal, too.
