Depreciation is an unknown quantity at the moment; some sporty Alfas have proved strong on this score in the past, whereas others have been known to lose value very quickly. However, the peculiarly British passion for convertibles, and faithful Alfa devotees, should help keep demand for the Spider strong, as will the low numbers around. No second-hand bargains for a while, then.
