Unique looks, smooth engine, Q2 e-diff's added traction.
Relatively high CO2 emissions, poor steering, limited rear space, possible build issues.
A decent 'alternative' choice and, at present, it is the most competitive car in Alfa's line-up. It's worthy of consideration.

Perhaps it is not unreasonable to expect some sacrifices in space to accommodate the Alfa's looks and, indeed, the Mito doesn't romp home with any 'most spacious in class' accolades. It's pretty spacious in front, but in the rear headroom is restricted and a third middle seatbelt is not even fitted due to the limited amount of shoulder room.
One thing both those in the front and rear passengers will complain about is the ride quality, or lack of it. In Normal and All Weather settings it's far from soft, which means all road imperfections make themselves known. Things get even worse when you are in the Dynamic setting.
Alfa Romeo claims the Mito is aggressively priced to take on the Mini. The range-topping Veloce is just £300 cheaper than a Cooper D, but you do get £1000 of extra equipment on the Mito.
Base Turismo models gain seven airbags and the Q2 e-diff and air con. Spend more for the Lusso and it adds fog lights, chrome exhaust pipes, lumbar support and 16" alloys. The Veloce adds 17" alloys Bluetooth and voice recognition. Opt for a Mini and you will pay more than £500 for 16" alloys and £105 for a trip computer.
