Summary of the Alfa Romeo Mito 1.6 JTDm (2009-)

Price Range: £11,595 to £15,795

Assets

Unique looks, smooth engine, Q2 e-diff's added traction.

Verdict

A decent 'alternative' choice and, at present, it is the most competitive car in Alfa's line-up. It's worthy of consideration.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Review

Safety and Security5 out of 5

The Alfa Romeo Mito is one of the safest cars in the supermini class. With seven airbags as standard including a driver's kneebag there's plenty working for you in the event of an accident.

The Mito also features standard ESP and active head restraints - commendable considering the class. Another interesting innovation is standard fitting of the Q2 differential that deploys the car's braking system to artificially lock the inside wheel when cornering. That maximises traction and the result is improved handling.
