Alfa Romeo Mito (2008-) Review

Category: Superminis 4 out of 5

Summary of the Alfa Romeo Mito (2008-)

Price Range: £11,595 to £15,795

Assets

Great styling, Alfa heritage, lively 1.4 turbo petrol engine, economical diesels, distinctive cabin design.

Drawbacks

Vague steering, not terribly versatile or practical; some superfluous electronic systems.

Verdict

A highly desirable small Alfa, if not quite as sporting as its looks might suggest.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Review

Used Value4 out of 5

The Mito is very desirable, and as a great-looking yet relatively cheap-to-run supermini, we expect it to sell well.

It should pick up Italian car enthusiasts who find the Fiat 500 just that bit too small (or too twee), petrolheads looking for a small car with a bit of sporting pedigree, and downsizers who still want to be seen in something stylish - and it may well be next year's most fashionable small car, given the ubiquity of the Mini. This will translate to the used market; expect residual (resale) values to be strong, and much better than those traditionally returned by Alfas.
