Characterful styling, peppy engines, fun to drive, lots of equipment, holds value well.
Jiggly ride, high servicing and insurance costs, build quality not the best.
Tempting, like alcohol, but there's the hangover to consider. A car for the more enthusiastic driver.

The individually styled 145 was one of the more unusual choices in this popular class, offering a sporty drive with plenty of practicality. It was available only as a three door hatchback, the mechanically similar five door 146 having different rear-end styling. The 145 was also available as a 2.0 Green Cloverleaf hot hatch, while the equivalent 146 is badged. Was replaced by the 147 in 2001.
