Alfa Romeo GTV (1996-2003) Review

Category: Affordable Sports 2.5 out of 5

Summary of the Alfa Romeo GTV (1996-2003)

Price Range: No data available

Assets

Styling is unmistakably an Alfa: bold and confident. Superb choice of engines. Legendary badge.

Drawbacks

Cheaper alternatives; dubious reliability; tiny rear seat and near- hopeless boot.

Verdict

Fabulous to look at and drive, and relatively easy to own (for an Alfa). A true Italian coupe.

Review

Used Value3 out of 5

Its good looks and Alfa image make the GTV easy to resell, and now the bulk of its depreciation (loss in value) is past. Well-looked after examples are maintaining their value well - they'll be future classics. Tatty, poorly-kept examples without service history, however, don't fetch much. Though standard kit levels are high - airbags, ABS, electric windows, alloy wheels - the most desirable versions have the Lusso pack.
