Appropriately, the Caterham feels like a carpeted racing car but fit, finish and quality aren't quite what you'd expect for £20,000-plus. But as it's all quite simple and low-tech there's not much to go wrong, so whilst the odd minor niggle might be expected, horror stories are unlikely.
