Review

Reliability and Quality5 out of 5

Even though this is a Honda with a very roar - sorry, raw - edge, don't expect some temperamental, highly-strung special. Attention to detail is still a Honda priority, and however hard it is treated, the Type-R will remain reliable. It's well made too, though some details are a little tacky. Owners are generally very satisfied; look out for corroded alloy wheels, and hard-worked cars that have been thrashed (and perhaps crashed) on track days, and beware aftermarket modifications. Accept only a full service history from Honda dealers or reputable independent specialists.
