Review

Overview3.5 out of 5

Crowd pleaser

The Integra Type-R is not what you would expect from Honda - their loyal, older customers are not going to be tempted by this stripped-out, road-legal racer. But that leaves more of the limited production run for those who appreciate the excitement that this limited-edition model offers. Discontinued in the UK in 2001 - to much disappointment - the Integra Type-R is becoming increasingly affordable on the second-hand market, though the best UK-supplied examples still command a premium. 'Grey' imports from Japan are cheaper, though many come with little history. Make sure you know what you're buying. Sadly, Honda has no plans to directly replace the Integra Type-R in the UK, though independent importers are bringing in the new car sold in Japan (which is also offered in the States as the Acura RS-X).
