Renault Modus: funky and modern. Renault's reputation for building great small cars and keen pricing is once again maintained. Elevated driving position gives a great all round view with many quirky interior variations to choose from. Movable rear seats, full glass sunroof, hidden storage, boot chutes and much more maintain Renault's innovative reputation. Not the nippiest car but with a great interior, large feel and a smaller overall size parking is a dream even for the most parking phobic.
Okay, first off this is a really nice car. It's roomy, practical, has a great engine and is very economical. So why have I given it just three stars you ask. Well, I made the mistake of being seduced by the opulence of the Initiale version with its gorgeous cream leather and uprated spec. What better, I told myself, than a car which does over 60mpg and is as luxurious and well equipped as a high end Merc? The answer to that question is: Not a Renault! The car is great - the electricals are not!
