The GT 1.9 Turbo is a great vehicle. It is fast, frugal and definitely the version to go for - particularly in Lusso format with Leather, Bose, Sat-nav, winter pack and parking sensors. With all this you won't want another car. It handles well, is comfortable on long journeys and because there aren't that many on the roads you feel a bit special. Forget all the rubbish about Alfa quality - that's long buried now and the garages are way better at servicing too. A super practical car. I love mine.
The stylish Bertone-designed Alfa Romeo GT impresses with its composure on fast roads, be they straight or with a swift curve or two. Warn your passengers if the surface is about to get bumpy, though: a choppy ride isn't good. The suspension can be noisy, too. However, I always go weak-kneed at the sound of an Alfa's engine, so a growl from any of the four engines here can easily be forgiven. Slick design and generous kit tick all the right boxes, while the four-seat layout will give you and your mates ample room for clutter and nibbles for the journey. A word of advice, though - anyone over around 5ft 9in won't be impressed if you stick them in the back. But if they moan too much, tell 'em there's always the boot.
It's been 1 year since it arrived to my doorway. The only issue is that 6th gear should be longer. You can see the car has more mph in it but it goes easily to red-line. Other than that very good boot, dynamics and comfort, even on 17" wheels.
