14,000 miles after my last review of this car in June 2006, my Colt has been in the garage a couple of times...for a service! An absolutely 100% reliable car. Nothing inside has 'fallen off' and the paintwork is as good as new. No niggles and I still think it's good fun to drive. I plan to keep this car for the forseeable future. When I do replace it I shall be looking at either the new Mazda 2 or another Colt. I think I know where my money's going!
I think this is a very good car. I use it mostly in town but I took long ride on this summer and I had no problem in the mountain of Tatra. I do not change cars many times in short period, I llike it very much so I plan to keep it.
Owned my car for the last 7 months and covered 8000 miles in it. The engine makes a decent sound, performance is brisk for such a small unit but naturally suffers with a full load. Averaging between 40-50mpg. Interior space is amazing for such a small car. Build quality is a bit dodgy compared to my previous Fiesta with rattles from the A-pillars and odd noises from the front suspension which the dealer can't find the cause of. Handles well with an entertaining amount of lift-off oversteer.
Having had my Colt now for seven months I think it is one of the best cars I have owned and a fantastic alternative to the obvious. Performance is good, considering it is only 1124cc and economy is excellent (45-50mpg overall). Fun to drive, build quality can't be faulted, seats comfortable and gearchange is slick, but its trump card is the amount of head and legroom inside, more than anything else I have tried. Try one today!
I love this car! Lots of space, easy, but fun to drive. Economical, 50+mpg on a run. Simple but trendy dash with leather steering wheel & gear knob. Lively little engine that has a nice sound & pulls really well in 3rd. Rear seats move & fold - ideal for our camping trips! Just a lovely, versatile car with bags of character. It just amazes me why there aren't more on the roads. Go on, buy one. You won't be disappointed! Oh yeah, one more thing, Mitsubishi people are really nice too.
