Having driven this car over three days I found it pleasantly surprising; good acceleration, high trim quality and excellent space. The ride was a bit harsh but nothing to complain about. Except the CD player breaking. It's a significant step from previous Kia offerings - the only thing that lets the car down is its name. Why Cee'd? Pro-cee'd? Suc-cee'd? Surely Kia could have come up with something better to represent this big leap forward. It's on my shortlist - and should be on yours.
Very good low-down pull from this 1.6 makes it the best engine in the range, and you'll get 60.1mpg. Recently voted Best Diesel Hatchback of 2007 beating the rock solid Volkswagen Golf. I found the Cee'd great to drive and to be driven in, very quiet engine, you'd hardly know it was a diesel. Quite a handsome car and well built by the looks and feel of things. Loved the part leather seats, climate control and the standard MP3 socket. Cheap to insure and to tax, I say keep up the good work Kia!!!
