Despite the lack of driver aides, the car allows enthusiastic driving to the extent that it is predictable in dry conditions. In the wet, however, the car suffers badly from excessive understeer and body rolling, leading to unwelcome instability. Visibility is excellent, promoting confidence during lane changing and parking. Also, maintenance costs have been well below the national average. The car's drive and reliability have secured the Clio's name on my list of cars suitable for purchasing.
Unbeatable 36 hour spin on leaving work in summer floods. V. impressed! More water came through sun roof than under doors. Engine revved without hiccup as we bobbed between drowned Mercedes and steaming Range Rovers. Wonderful road holding even when couldn't find road. That car is a winner though a bit cramped for sleeping and heater and radio packed up too. Still car's back home with me unlike some heftier wet weather and all-terrain guys. Bring on the snow drifts. Me and my Renault are ready.
The new 2007 Clio has got it spot on. Nimble, quiet, quick, roomy and frugal on petrol and with the sport pack body kit as standard it looks stunning as well. I am a six-footer and can drive it in comfort and ease. I have just traded down from a larger vehicle and was a bit worried about buying a supermini, but needn't have. If I could give this car 6 out of 5 I would. Book a test drive - you'll love it. 2007 Clio has more Va Va Voom than ever.
The old Clio is a great little car. Easy to drive, good looking, and never had anything wrong with it. Can leave it for months, and it'll start first time when I next use it. The small engine can cruise on the motorway. It's got enough gadgets to keep me happy. And it's better looking than the new Clio. Nicole? Papa? Get in!
