I love the look of the C4 Picasso, especially inside, and I so wanted to like the car, but I think I'd rather have an S-Max. I found the C4P's ESG gearbox clunky in manual and often in too high a gear in auto, while the push-button handbrake is too far away and too slow to engage. I might get used to that, but not to having to roll my left foot sideways. In a car with such a clear floor, this is absurd, and it must be worse in the three-pedal versions. The S-Max is less exciting but works better.
