The title Vauxhall Astra has always suggested boring, middle of the road and basic; but I am more than pleased to say that things have definitely come along leaps and bounds. I never thought that I would be saying this, but the new Astra is actually sporty and stylish; it's a completely different breed compared to the old Astra. The firm suspension and positive steering give a sporty yet comfy ride and the responsive engine feels far from a diesel. This one definitely gets my thumbs up.
