| DRIVING RATING: |
 |
The power steering is light, so the 45 is no trouble to manage in town and when parking, though that same lightness turns to vagueness at higher speeds. Uninvolving enough to be easy and obedient, yet actually quite agile. The overlight power steering lacks the feel needed for pushing on. The 45 is agile but not sufficiently sharp and responsive for any real excitement or driver feedback.

Introduction Rover's 45 saloon/hatchback is comfortable and pleasant to drive, but it's not the roomiest car... |
