    RELIABILITY AND QUALITY RATING:

Shouldn't there be five stars for a car costing a quarter of a million pounds? Well, the interior woodwork and leather are exquisite and there are no inappropriate plastics to be seen. Look closely, though, and you'll see that the crease line on the plastic front wings is sharper than its continuation on the adjacent doors, that some parts of the waistline trim strip don't line up, that some welds on the aluminium spaceframe are lumpy and so is the underlay of some leather trim where stuck to hard surfaces. Nor are the panel gaps as tight and even as in an Audi A8, also aluminium-bodied. But the cars we tested were very early examples - later cars are likely to be better. As for reliability, many of the systems are similar to those of a BMW 7-Series so are already proven.
