Renault doesn't tend to score well in reliability and customer surveys, and there have been a number of quality issues with the Laguna: owners report electrical and electronic troubles, general quality defects, and more seriously, gearboxes have been problematic (especially the auto fitted to the V6 and the six-speed manual). However, the electrical glitches should have been ironed out by now, and at this stage, the Laguna should be satisfactorily de-bugged all round.
