A stiffer structure adds to the 911's already impressive safety credentials. All versions have front and side airbags; the sidebags are mounted in the doors, and have a very large inflated volume which protects occupants' heads even in the cabriolet - which also has pop-up rollover bars. Deadlocks, an alarm and an immobiliser are standard.
