| RUNNING COSTS RATING: |
 |
A 911 will never be a cheap car to run, but on one of the most important indicators of whole-life running costs the Porsche is unbeatable. Namely, here is a supercar that will hold its value better than any. Porsche have made efforts to reduce other regular costs, notably by increasing the service intervals from 12,000 to 18,000 miles, a move that reduces time in the dealer's garage and this, according to Porsche, should lower regular maintenance by 25 percent in the first four years of ownership. Efforts have also gone into reducing the cost of minor repairs, particularly to the front of the car, with a new design for impact elements in places such as the front bumper. This should make a positive impression on insurance premiums.
