| RELIABILITY AND QUALITY RATING: |
 |
The 307 has not enjoyed a good reputation for trouble-free operation. Problem areas include electrical failures, the indicators, engine management system, the tailgate latch and detaching interior trim, with many owners reporting other problems besides. While the 307 appears nowhere near as dependable as the old 306 - itself not super-dependable - it does at least have the aura of a quality car. There's a sense of solidity about it, the doors shut with a quality thunk and the soft-feel facia and aluminium-finished components impart an air of quality. A great shame that such promise is not borne out in use.
