Like most rivals, the 206 scores a good NCAP crash result, with four stars overall. Driver and passenger airbags are standard these days, and side airbags are also optional. ABS anti-lock brakes are fitted on all except the base models, on which they are optional. All versions have immobilisers; the GLX and XSi also have deadlocks. It's a reasonably old design, but the 206 has a good rigid structure and decent impact protection for a small car.
