    COMFORT AND EQUIPMENT RATING:

Driver and passengers alike will find the 107's cabin a pleasant place to be. The exposed metal work on the doors, rather than looking cheap, brings some colour into the otherwise grey interior and lifts the ambience. Considering how ghastly some of the seat colour options in cars like the Fiat Panda can look, Peugeot has wisely left its seat trimming simple and inoffensive.

Those seats are comfortable, too - even after hours toiling in traffic, and the large amount of head-, leg- and elbow-room lessen the feeling of being penned in. If the front seats are placed in their rear-most position there isn't a great deal of space for those in the back, but there is more than in, for example, the MINI, which is a good 20cm longer.

Boot space to the rear parcel shelf is a teeny 139 litres - enough for a week's shopping for two. Folding the rear seats flat increases the overall load space to 750 litres with a maximum length of over a metre.

Standard equipment includes four airbags, electric windows, remote central locking, 50/50 split rear seats, body colour bumpers and a single-slot CD player with input for an MP3 player with two speakers. Factory options are limited to air-conditioning (£500), a pod-mounted rev counter (£50) and curtain airbags (£200). Dealer fit accessories which can be added to your 107 at any time include a CD auto-changer, rear speakers, alloy wheels, clear rear-light clusters and a small rear spoiler.
