Insurance is group 13, servicing comes up every 20,000 miles with an interim check at 10,000. Fuel economy is potentially good, if you can keep the revs down. Residual values are strong, the best of all 106s. It's quite a lot of money for a such a small car, but it's worth it for the thrills on offer and the GTI's sheer exuberance.
