  • Road Test: Nissan Murano (2005-)

European spec Murano has 1,300 modifications over American car
    RELIABILITY AND QUALITY RATING:

The Murano has been on sale in the USA for a couple of years now, so should have been thoroughly de-bugged. That said, Nissan claims that the UK/European cars have over 300 different parts and 1,300 modifications over the American-spec models - their suspension, in particular, is very different, but Nissan does generally have a good track record for reliability. The Murano seems pretty well screwed together, with pleasant tactile surfaces in its cabin and decent quality leather for its seats; there have been criticisms recently of the poor quality of the 350Z's paint, susceptible to stone-chipping, but this should have been sorted for the Murano.
