  • Road Test: Nissan Almera Tino (2000-2006)
    Compact MPV

    Nissan Almera Tino
    by Bob Oxford

Driving an Almera Tino 2.2-litre diesel, I notice one thing above everything else. Nothing on the car squeaks or rattles as it did on my previous car - a Vauxhall Zafira. If you don't need seven seats, then the Tino is a good package and, in SE+ trim, comes with everything but the kitchen sink. It's very comfortable but slightly let down by the noisy engine, although this is not a problem at cruising speeds. It has an excellent stereo, with a six-CD stacker out of sight under the driving seat, and loads of cubby space. It doesn't get left behind in UK traffic, either.
