This depends on your view. Among those in the know, the Evo has a fine reputation, but its testosterone-fuelled boy-racer looks are not going to win it, or you, any points for good taste. And it is certainly conspicuous. As for Mitsubishi's reputation, well, it's a bit watery despite international rallying successes and the soundness of its Shogun four-wheel drive.
