Mitsubihi Evo IX Gallery

| COMFORT AND EQUIPMENT RATING: |
The least comfortable aspect of the Evo IX is its ride comfort, but other downsides are an intrusive engine note (which is not as charismatic as a Subaru's) and a bit of road roar on concrete or less than perfect road surfaces. The steering wheel only adjusts for rake, too, but that's not a huge downside - the driving position will be well-suited for most people, while on the plus side the seats are, though firm, extremely supportive, especially laterally. There's enough interior room for five, although three adults won't be happy in the back for too long, and there's a reasonable boot, too.
Equipment levels aren't outstanding, missing the little details that you can buy on a German prestige car, but you get all you need. Priced from twenty-eight grand, the Evo comes with electric windows all-round, four airbags, alarm, remote central locking, air-conditioning, Recaro sports seats, Momo steering wheel, Enkei alloys and a CD player. The FQ-340 adds part leather/Alcantara seats and SmartNav satellite navigation.
