The S-Class hasn't been NCAP-tested, but all the safety paraphernalia is already in place. Driver and passenger both get two-stage airbags and sidebags, and there is also now a 'window bag' as standard, inflating all the way from the 'A'-pillars to the 'C'-pillars. ABS, brake assist and stability control are also standard. Security runs to an alarm and immobiliser, and top-spec versions also get a keyless entry system based on a credit-card-sized key you just keep in your pocket.
