Somewhat strangely, the S-Type hasn't actually been tested by EuroNCAP, yet the newer X-Type has. Nevertheless, we'd expect the S-Type to perform reasonably well in an accident. All S-Types come with driver, passenger and side-airbags, remote central locking, an immobiliser, alarm and seat-belt pre-tensioners.
