  • Road Test: Honda Jazz (2002-)
    Superminis by: John Simister
    Honda Jazz (02-)
    SAFETY AND SECURITY RATING:

In EuroNCAP crash tests, the Jazz has achieved a four-star rating, plus a high three stars for the pedestrian impact tests as scored by the Civic. The Isofix child-seat system has additional tethers to hold the top of the seat in place, the centre rear passenger has a proper three-point belt whose diagonal retracts into the roof, and the fuel tank's position is well protected from impact. The S model lacks ABS, though, and only the SE Sport has side airbags. A rolling-code immobiliser and deadlocks should help keep thieves at bay, but there's no alarm.
