  • Road Test: Honda Integra Type-R (1997-2001)
    Affordable Sports
    Honda Integra Type-R (97-01)
    SAFETY AND SECURITY RATING:

There's a good level of safety equipment, with standard driver and passenger airbags and ABS brakes. The brakes are also seriously uprated to cope with the power, too. The Integra is quite easy to steal, unfortunately - even an engine immobiliser was an expensive cost option when new, and there are no deadlocks, nor a standard alarm. Most cars in the UK will have been fitted with aftermarket security kit by now; look for a fully Thatcham-approved system.
