Honda is still trying to tap into its impressive Formula One heritage, hence the white-only paintwork it was originally offered in (Japan's Grand Prix hue). Even the alloy wheels were white. However, later cars were available in black and red too. There's a big and unsubtle wing on the back too, lending it dubious yoof appeal - only petrolheads will understand what the Type-R is about, but they'll respect it.
