  • Road Test: Honda Integra Type-R (1997-2001)
    Affordable Sports
    Honda Integra Type-R (97-01)
    COMFORT AND EQUIPMENT RATING:

Sorry, but there isn't much. Although the figure hugging Recaro sports seats are great, the Integra is almost deafening at speed because it has been stripped of sound-deadening to save weight. It's annoying around town too, the firm suspension crashing into potholes. Though it's difficult to get there past the bucket seats, the rear offers quite a lot of room, and there's a generous boot too. There's a fair amount of oddments space in the cabin. Perhaps wisely, Honda doesn't bother fitting a sound system, probably because the Integra R is so noisy anyway. Sounds of the musical or chat variety are extra, then.
