    RELIABILITY AND QUALITY RATING:

Honda's engines are pretty well bombproof, which should prove reassuring for owners. Indeed Honda was recently rated runner-up in the 2004 Warranty Direct Reliability Index. The FR-V is built to high manufacturing standards in a Japanese factory, with consistent panel gaps and shut lines over the length of the car. Rugged but appealing plastics and fabrics are used in the interior, with the exception of the centre-mounted bottle holder which feels extremely flimsy - not ideal if you've got boisterous kids on board.
