  • Road Test: Honda FR-V (2004-)

    INTRODUCTION

The FR-V is Honda's first real foray into the lucrative compact MPV market. Even though the company has attempted to break into the segment with the Stream, a sort of Civic estate, that car hasn't sold well and will be dropped from the Honda line-up in 2005.

One of only two six-seaters with just two seating rows on the market (the other being the Fiat Multipla), the FR-V is trying to attract families with children. And that third front seat will really please those kids who are always asking "can I sit in the front?" Even better, Honda has done loads of work to provide as much safety for the central passenger as any other occupant in the car.
