  • Road Test: Honda FR-V (2004-)
    Compact MPV by: Tom Bird

    IMAGE RATING:

With seats for six adults, the FR-V is aimed primarily at families who need the utility of an MPV but who don't want to sacrifice style. The exterior look is similar to that of the latest Mercedes A-Class, with a bold crease half way down the body sides. From the rear it looks a bit like an BMW X3, with the angular lenses of the rear lights and a substantial rear spoiler. But even with these Teutonic styling cues, the image projected by this Honda is more 'mumsy' than modish.
