    Ford Streetka
    by Phil Cole-Wilde 28.04.03

I purchased my Streetka from a dealership in Maidstone, Kent on Saturday 15/3. I had an open mind about it and am very impressed. The car looks an absolute stunner, great curves, looks and presence. To drive it is fantastic. I've owned numerous Fords in the past, including a Ka, and this car is a beauty. There is enough power to pull away, cruise and overtake, the steering is crisp and precise. Multidisc stereo is really good, can hear it clearly even with the hood up or down; there is a little wind noise with the hood up over my right shoulder but it is a minimal distraction. The hood is a piece of cake to open and close, boot has plenty of space, all round visibility is excellent, the gear change is just the like the Puma (obviously) although the gear stick could be an inch longer - it feels as if I have to lean down to change gear. Got no heated front screen because of manufacturing problems, but have 3 years free servicing and breakdown cover as an alternative, which is fine. Overall I'm really pleased with it and am sure that others will be also.
