| DRIVING RATING: |
 |
Like all Fords, the Cougar has well-planned controls that are light to use, though some may find the driving position slightly uncomfortable. As with most coupes, visibility is not the best, but in general it's a relaxing drive, not least because it has the refinement of a good saloon. Keen drivers who've sampled Ford's agile little Puma may be a little disappointed by the Cougar, which lacks some of its smaller brother's responsive edge. Overall however, the Cougar is an enjoyable drive, particularly in 2.5 litre form.
