  • Road Test: Ford Cougar (1998-2001)
    Affordable Sports
    Ford Cougar (98-01)
    COMFORT AND EQUIPMENT RATING:

The driving position can feel a little awkward for some, and the low speed ride is a bit lumpy, but overall the Cougar is a civilised thing, especially as a V6. The Cougar is generously roomy up front and fairly spacious in the rear, though getting there is a struggle. The boot is massive, and can be extended by folding the rear seats. Oddments space in the cabin is reasonable. The well-planned Ford radio has an RDS traffic information system, while the top V6 X model also gets a multi CD player.
