The Stilo has yet to be NCAP tested, but expect a strong showing given the proliferation of airbags and the crash management structures built into the car's body. Major equipment includes anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency brake assist; detail bonuses include three full belts in the rear and electrically controlled seat belt tensioners. On the security front, Fiat has done considerable work with the Thatcham insurance agency to make the Stilo thiefproof; equipment includes a rolling code immobiliser and deadlocks.
