  • Road Test: Citroen C8 (2003-)
    Large MPV by: John Simister
    Citroen C8 (03- )
    SAFETY AND SECURITY RATING:

The C8 has pretty much everything: ABS, EBD, Brake Assist (which also triggers the hazard flashers), ESP and ASR, and a fine tally of airbags. As well as the usual front airbags and front-seat sidebags, there are also curtain airbags for all three rows of seats - a world first, according to Citroen. The electric sliding doors have an anti-trap function, and their adjacent switches are disabled along with their electric windows by a driver-operated button. The central second-row seat has a built-in three-point belt, and the side seats have ISOFIX child-seat mountings. There's also a flip-down wide-angle mirror to let parents see what children behind them are doing. The remote central locking includes deadlocks.
