If you stick to the speed limits, the Blenheim should be exceptionally economical for a car of its type. It is geared to do 40 mph per 1000 rpm in top so, at 70 mph, the V8 engine is turning over at just 1700 rpm. Bristol doesn't offer any figures and we didn't have the car long enough to take any, but well over 20 mpg should be within reach. Bristol owners tend to keep their cars a long time so it is likely to be some years before any S models come onto the market. As this is written, the car pictured here is the only one in existence. At £152,456, the Blenheim could never be described as value for money but it is cheaper than many of its rivals: only the Mercedes CL500 and Maserati 3200 GT cost less. It's difficult to make a judgement about depreciation as there are so few Blenheims about and Bristol itself more or less controls the market on the younger second-hand models. However, rarity value should work in its favour.
