Very good. The Concept M5 got a great reception after it was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2004, and the model has made it to production virtually unchanged. BMWs M-cars have always had a strong image, and old M5s avoid appealing to some of the Chavs that old M3s do, plus it's a more exclusive car (which, at sixty-grand, is not surprising).
